As a lover of cultural and biodiversity with a master’s in international development, she’s spent time working as a first mate on a private charter boat in Key West, led Manta Ray and dolphin experiences in Hawaii, conducted conservation research in Indonesia, guided tours in Alaska, planned experiential learning study abroad trips for high school students across the US, and volunteered for schools facing socio-economic challenges in South Africa and Nicaragua. In recent years, Jerica has enjoyed bringing together her passion for travel, sustainable living and wellness event planning, managing a yoga studio, planning retreats, and tending to the organic farm she runs with her partner.
